Fri and sat was at my half-korean nephew's 1-yr-old birthday chalet! He is soooooooooooo damn cute! And his name is soooooooooo nice, Byong Joon! My korean vocabulary list has increased with a few more words but i'm sure they'll soon be forgotten! Yeap so it's once again like a family gathering! There's one thing i really really appreciate and really like about my father's side is that most of us may speak English outside or to children but it's a must to speak Chinese or Teochew to the elder ones or preferably everyone in the family. I'm a Chinese and there's no way of denying it. How can a Chinese look down on your own language? I totally can't stand Chinese who look down on people who converse in Mandarin. To me, that's an ultimate disgrace. Respect yourself, your people, language, culture and values. Something i find the Chinese is lacking in......
